What’s the app?

One or two sentences. SLAP turns it into a SLAPSHOT: a real, working version you can tap through in your browser and open on your own phone in about a minute. Signing in with Google is the only gate.

Rather run SLAP on your own computer? Three things, once, then it is all in the browser.

Install Node, once

Node is the free program SLAP runs on. Go to nodejs.org, download the version marked LTS, run the installer, click through the defaults. That is the only thing you install.

Type one line

Open a terminal and type this, then press Enter. The first time it asks whether to install slapmy.app; say yes.

npx slapmy.app@latest

Windows: press Start, type powershell, open Windows PowerShell, paste the line there. Mac: press ⌘ and Space together, type terminal, press Enter, paste the line there.

Your browser opens with SLAP in it. You never need the terminal again. If nothing opens, the terminal prints an address starting with http://127.0.0.1; copy the whole of it into your browser.

Sign in and SLAP IT

Press Sign in with Google (or GitHub, or Apple) on the first screen. No keys: whoever invited you covers the cost through relay.slapmy.app. Then say what the app is and press SLAP IT.
